SLUPA and UPS are inviting you to our Postdoc Day the 15th of February 2023.
Coming to a new country and settling in can be difficult with all the administrative procedures and knowing about opportunities for you as a Postdoc.
With this event, we want to give Postdocs in Umeå practical information about living in Sweden and also strengthen the postdoc community with team building activities and a dinner.
The program also gives you the opportunity to present your research in front a panel of PIs and invited speakers in a 5 min Science Stand-up.

Science Stand-up rules
“Researchers are boring”, but are we? We all need a dose of comic relief.
So, lets tickle your audience’s funny bone. Mix a bit of humor (even sarcasm) while presenting your research findings.
Prepare a short pitch (2 minutes) and send us at kishore.vishwanathan@slu.se and/or madhusree.mitra@slu.se. Eight of you will get the opportunity to present in front of live audience for 5 minutes at the Postdoc Day Stand-up session. The best comedy researcher will receive a prize!!
Followed by Postdoc Day, we are going to upload all the pitches on UPS’s social media platforms. So do not hesitate to send us your pitch, all your hard work will pay off.
