If you are a postdoc in Umeå, you are automatically a member of UPS. Without any obligations, just opportunities to get to know other postdocs and enjoy the numerous activities that UPS is offering! If you have an UmU-ID or SLU account, you can sign up for our mailing list at the bottom of this page or here so you don’t miss out on any activities and announcements.

The sign-up form below is not a binding registration, you will only be assigned tasks after an in-person discussion with our organizational board. When you take on a specific task, you are expected to communicate honestly about your availability and commitment. Furthermore, active members meet a few times per year in person (quarterly in person, monthly on Zoom), and it would be great if you could attend so that you know what’s going on. Lastly, daily organizational communication happens via our UPS active member Slack, so it would be great if you were willing to use that platform, although not necessary.

You are welcome to sign up below! It is possible to help out in multiple offices, and joining a specific office does not mean you cannot help out in other offices! We are happy to discuss current needs with you, if you don’t know exactly where you want to help out. Simply indicate this at the end of the form below and we will contact you!

If you just want to (help) organize a specific activity without officially joining an office, you are also very welcome! We look forward to hearing from you and will contact you as soon as possible to discuss details!
