Do you want to see the river and the sea just by turning your back? Do you want to learn more about the history of Umeå’s wood transport industry? Do you want to enjoy the last traces of snow and ice in the forest and the river? Do you want to see migratory birds coming back to the north after the winter? Then, you are most welcome this Saturday to our UPS Spring hike!

We will hike from Holmsund, to the south of Umeå, to Holmen, a little island near the end of the Österfjärden. The hike is approximately 7 km in total in flat terrain.

It is very important that you register for this event so we can make sure to begin the hike as a group! Use the form linked above.

WHEN: Saturday, April 29th, at 11.00 AM
WHERE: We will meet at the Umeå Universitetssjukhuset bus stop at 11.00 AM to catch Bus number 123 (destination Obbola) which departs at 11.15 AM. Another option is to take the same bus at Vasaplan at 11.10 AM. The bus arrives at Holmsund approximately at 11.35 AM.
