Dear postdocs,

We want to invite you to a new recurring UPS activity to boost your creativity, silence your inner critic, and have some fun: on Thursday 10th August we will be launching the UPS Improv Club.

One evening every month we will hold drop-in sessions at the KBC atrium to practice our improvisational skills with a series of games and exercises. The main aim of these sessions will be to practice thinking outside the box, explore and have fun together in a safe space.

We also hope these sessions will help you develop transferable skills:
– Perhaps you want to become a more comfortable and confident speaker?
– Would you like to see what unexpected creativity you release when you let go of your inner critic and go with the flow?
– Would you like to practice active listening and improve your collaboration skills?
– Or are you simply looking to meet some likeminded people and have some fun?

Everyone is welcome. This is not department/faculty specific, so feel free to bring along your non-postdoc friends too. There are no commitments to come regularly, or perform; just bring yourself and an open mind.

If this isn’t all enough to tempt you, we will also provide snacks and non-alcoholic beverages!
