Come along with us as we go ice-skating in Tavelsjö on Saturday, 14th of February.
Transport tickets, skate rentals, and BBQ food are personal expenses, while the fire/BBQ organisation is on us! Please register!

If you have little experience with ice skating, we recommend figure skates with good ankle support, and poles which are available at Fritidsbanken: https://www.fritidsbanken.se/fritidsbank/umea/ The skates rented at Sundlingska are long-distance skates, which can be challenging for beginners. If you still want to try them, make sure to wear shoes with good ankle support. An even safer alternative is a spark (kick sled), which can be borrowed from the café. If you borrow a spark (free for café customers), you can move on the ice in your regular shoes (it’s not too slippery), or in shoes with spikes. We will travel to and from Tavelsjö by Bus 16. The morning bus departs at 10:00 from Universitetsjukhuset or 10:10 from Vasaplan (platform M). Return buses to Umeå run at 15:07 and 18:46. A one-way ticket costs 73 SEK, and the day entrance ticket to the track is 60 SEK.

We will make a fire and have a BBQ afterwards, so please bring whatever you would like to grill. Alternatively, food can be purchased at the café or at the nearby ICA.
