The Umeå Postdoc Society (UPS) is a recently established platform for postdocs to come together and share experiences and knowledge. Some ideas of what the PostDoc Society would like to organize in the future are social/networking events, career planning and grant writing workshops. If you identify as a postdoc, we invite you to join
the Kick-off event on Friday 2nd of October at 3.30pm, Lilla and Stora Hörsalen (located in the KBC building), (flyer attached), where we can all get-together and exchange our ideas of what a society of postdocs could do. After some talks, we will share some food and drinks to continue the discussion.
This event is organized according to the safety guidelines of the University, regarding the COVID situation. Therefore, two large rooms with spacious seating have been booked. However, the presentation will be available through a zoom
link as well. It includes:
- Introduction talk by the advisory board members: Pr. Oliver Bilker (MIMS director) and Pr. Magnus Wolf-Watz (Chemistry department).
- Small presentation of the UPS, the organizing committee members and open discussion.
